Sessions Sunday's Featuring Terry Hunter & Mike Dunn w/Special Guest Hula Mahone

I started the week off with a good night of house music.  Sessions Sunday’s present by the Chosen Few DJs is a monthly party hosted on the last Sunday of every month.  Held at Club One in the south suburbs of Chicago, it took me a mere 20 minutes to get there from the south side of Chicago.  Club One is a massive club with a great dance floor and plenty of seating. Mirrored Walls, multiple bars, neon lights, several VIP circle areas, and a large stage decorate this club.  Club One is a club that is ideal for dancers and partygoers. It’s the type of venue that allows dancers the freedom and space to dance while allowing those who are socializing and celebrating special occasions space as well. The configuration of the space makes it ideal for anyone who loves house music to come and enjoy with friends or dance the night away.

From the moment I stepped inside, I felt nothing but great vibes. The security staff and doorman were very pleasant and welcoming.  I walked into a crowd grooving to the sounds of DJ and producer Hula Mahone.  Hula has a strong presence and following, especially in the south suburbs with his weekly “I Love House Music Fridays” party at Club Lavue.  His set was perfect for opening the night.  It eased the crowd into the evening with some classic house music and gradually built the tempo and had dancers gravitating to the dance floor.  Chosen Few DJ and producer, Mike Dunn was up next and delivered a musical service full of soulful sounds, and energetic Afrobeats.  Finishing off the evening was Chosen Few DJ and producer, Terry Hunter, fresh off of playing dates in Miami, Madrid, and London.  If he was tired, you couldn’t tell, his set was full of soulful energy that kept the patrons on the dance floor until he ended the night with hand clapping, foot tapping inspirational house music.

If the inaugural night of “Session Sunday’s” was any indication of what every 4th Sunday looks like, I’m all in!  This party is officially on my “Must attend” list!   The venue combined with the DJ lineup make for a great Sunday Night!

Until we meet again…see you on a Dance Floor
