Greetings House People!!! I took some much needed time off to spend the holidays with my family. I hope your holidays were spent dancing and having fun with family and friends. The New Year is upon us and I’m so excited. This year is going to full of new music, bigger parties and more from Black Widow Music! I plan on bringing you a front row seat to the hottest house events here in Chicago and across the country. Black Widow is on the move this year! There are so many events here to showcase and so many festivals that happen across the county that celebrate House and Dance Music culture. I'm looking forward to enjoying more great music from great artists this year!
As I’ve previously stated, you can hear house music on any night of the week here in Chicago but there are a few parties I’m really looking forward to attending.
Jan. 15, 2017, The Chosen Few DJ’s present, The Sauers Reunion Party Part 2 at the Promontory. If you missed the first one, read about it here! It was legendary and you don't want to miss this one!
That’s in addition to your regular weekly house parties that feature the best in house Music! Check “The Dance Floor” on my website for detailed information on house music events in Chicago! It will be updated regularly so you always know where to go for the best in house music!
Personally, I’m excited to release new music this year. T’s Box Records has new music coming this year from so many amazing artists guaranteed to keep you dancing all year long! I’m blessed to be a part of such a talented group of artists, DJ’s and producers. I’m excited about the music I’m working on and I cannot wait to hear it on the dance floor! Keep an eye on T's Box Records, House N HD and Imagine No Music in 2017!!!
I’m also releasing my first collection of poetry this year. It is the realization of a dream. The book is titled, The Sum of Many Things” (find more information about it here) and it’s a compilation of poetry and reflections from a woman who wears so many hats! I’m excited about its June 2017 release! It has truly been a labor of love.
I thank you all for continuing to support Black Widow Music and I’m looking forward to sharing stories and music about the House and Dance Music Scene and culture with you this year.
See ya on a Dance floor….
