UNDER THE PICASSO!!!!

The Chosen Few DJ’s (www.chosenfewdjs.com) consists of legendary DJ’s, Wayne Williams, Alan King, Jesse Saunders, Tony Hatchett, Andre Hatchett, Terry Hunter and Mike Dunn. Each successful in their own right, they are a brotherhood of DJ’s and producers who have played House and dance music since high school, consistently expanding their brand each year around the world and throwing some of the best parties around the city of Chicago.   They consist of Grammy nominated producers, Pioneers, and celebrated DJ’s, known globally as some of the best in the House/Dance Music Scene.  They are also the creators of the one of the most anticipated events of the summer in Chicago, The Chosen Few Music Festival.

For one hour during selected days in summer, Chicago’s Daley plaza becomes a dance floor where corporate America gathers for a lunch time dance party.  The Chosen Few DJ’s host a lunch time “Hot Mix” dance party in the heart of downtown Chicago. House music lovers gather under the Picasso sculpture at Daley plaza for one full hour of dance music! It’s the best way to take a break during the middle of your work day! It’s a party on the Plaza! You get to meet up with friends who work downtown and dance the stress of a hectic day off before you head back to work.   It’s one of my favorite free summer activities in Chicago and the perfect release for those in corporate America 5 days a week!  You’ll see downtown employees grab their lunches or purchase snacks from the many Food Trucks that sometimes surround the Plaza, head outside and sit under tables with umbrellas or along the beautiful water fountain, enjoying the music and the weather. You’ll catch tourists who are just walking around the city, stop by for a dance and a moment to soak in a piece of Chicago culture.   In the center of the plaza are the "househeads", shouting, twirling and dancing to the sounds of the Chosen Few.

This past Wednesday was the last dance party of the season and was extended from one hour to two for the finale!    It featured Terry Hunter, Alan King and Andre Hatchett. The weather was a perfect temperature to dance and groove along to your favorite tracks. A beautiful medley of disco and house classics, soulful sounds and afro beats filled the downtown Chicago skies for their 2 hour finale at Daley Plaza.

Until next time…see ya on a dance floor!
