Guess who's back?

Guess who's back?

It's been a year since I've blogged anything. 2016 has been a whirlwind of activity for me personally and professionally.  I'm back now with a new website and a blog that is going in an entirely different direction. I'm excited about the future right now.  More on that later...Many of you have asked where I have been. LOL...truth is I've been all over the place. 2016 has been nonstop!!! I'm still making music and performing around the city. I have 3 new songs recorded and ready to release in 2017 and my baby, my very 1st book, is scheduled for release in 2017!  You don't know how happy that makes is truly a dream fulfilled! On a personal note, my oldest graduated grade school and headed to HS this year as a LINK unlimited Scholar, My daughter was accepted into the prestigious High Jump Scholars program and my little guy went through his own transition as he started 5th grade in a new school! This working mom has been busy but is so proud of the moves my children are making!!!

Despite the hectic mess that is my life, I've still been able to do what I love, writing, performing and enjoying the Chicago House scene!!! If you live here you know that #SummertimeChi is lit!!! House parties, picnics, beach and boat days, outdoor concerts, movies in the park and of course ...the CHOSEN FEW PICNIC! I call it Househead’s Christmas!  I was able to get out and enjoy it all. That's what I love so much about this city!  House lives here!!! I can literally go out every night of the week if I wanted and hear some of the best in House music!

As for what's coming up soon?  I'm taking my blog in a new direction. As my writing and recording career continues to blossom, I really want to begin to shine a light on House Music from a fan's perspective and from an artists perspective.  I'll still continue writing about love, dating, sex, and relationships on my website! (After all, I'm still a Chicago girl dating in the city!)  but I also want to give you a glimpse inside the community I love so much, the Chicago House community.   I want to give  you guys a glimpse inside my writing process as a poet and songwriter and take you on a journey through music and prose.

Look forward to weekly blog posts from me from now on and I'll l keep you posted on where you can find me!
